Every Recipe Communicates a Story, a Memory, or a Tradition

My passion - Jesus, my husband, my children, homeschool and COOKING! I am so excited to finally begin sharing my recipes here on my blog.

Why now?  Truthfully, I have texted the same recipes over and over to my child who lives too far away in another state and it is time to place them in one easy location for her.

Since my intent is to save these loved recipes for my children, I want to pass down the memories and stories of each recipe for them to remember and share with their families.

When they make sauce and meatballs and I instruct them to add one whole onion to the recipe, I want them to know we do that because that is how Pop Pop did it.

Pasta Salad only became better after observing new ideas that Aunt Maria used in her recipe.

That amazing stuffing on Thanksgiving day is a combination of Nana's and Grandmom's stuffing recipes - a little bit of Southern and a little bit of German make a great new recipe.

Let's not forget the first time I made collards on New Year's Day and Granddaddy found a dead cricket in his plate of collards.

A home with a well loved kitchen is one full of recipes, stories, memories and traditions.  I look forward to sharing these special moments with you.  Be on the look out for our most cherished recipe Meatballs with Sauce and Pasta.
